The BORDER TOWN SLO-PITCH LEAGUE has been running for more than 20 years, playing in diamonds near the east and west borders in the city of Mississauga. In the early years, the league only consisted of 4 teams but has grown to more than 20 teams (possibly 22 this year. We have been affiliated with Slo-Pitch Ontario and use SPO carded umpires. The league is comprised of co-ed teams that are made up of 8 men and 2 women. We have an 18-game regular season, a mid-season All-Star game and a playoff weekend late in September.

All you need to know is Ava's the BEST!!!!
This was all made possible because of Ava Wojcik, our beloved Commissioner. 7 years ago BTSPL was in difficult situation. Ava single-handedly saved the league when she took over as commissioner. Her commitment, effort and dedication is truly appreciated by all. It is unfortunate that due to her work schedule, 2011 will be her last year as commissioner as she plans to step down and act as an adviser/consultant after the season is done. She will surely be missed and difficult to replace.
Cheers and applause to AVA!!!
